Welcome back to another edition of Star-Crossed with Meghan Rose, my love. This week we’re preparing for Leo season, in my true Virgo fashion I want to make sure everyone has these insights prior to the fixed fire energy of Leo season starting. We are entering into Leo season in the midst of Mercury Retrograde (also in bold and brave Leo).

The major themes of this season are self-prioritization, internally-rooted confidence, speaking your mind, and unapologetically taking up space. This is a perfect time for believing in yourself, your goals, and putting your projects/thoughts/ideas out into the world for the sake of them existing. As much as people like to paint Leo as the attention-wh*res of the zodiac, I believe Leo’s energy at it’s highest expression gets it’s validation from inside.

I’ve had recent experiences getting to know Leos and it reaffirmed something that I’ve known since childhood: Leos like to be around people that they are as proud of as they are of themselves. So, each Leo’s standard of company is going to be highly dependent on how they think about themselves. When I was growing up, my grandmother was remarried to a Leo since before I was born. He was my biggest supporter, and even though he had several biological grandchildren, never once did he make me feel secondary. In fact, he would go around saying to me and anyone who would listen: “Meggy is my number one!” - even in front of my cousin, my grandmother, anyone really, because it was his truth. He didn’t care who he offended with this statement, because it was honest, and his pride for me was like bright sunlight, helping me grow and shine myself. That’s the thing with Leos, when they are true to themselves and love themselves, the love that they are able to pour onto other people is endless and unmatched.
