For centuries, we as a society have waited for Neptune, the planet of dreams, spirituality, illusions and disillusions to re-enter bold and passionate Aries. The last time that we saw our outer planet, Neptune, in fiery Aries was back in 1865-1875. Each cycle through a sign, Neptune sits and indulges in its energy for about 14 years on average - soaking in the delights of what each zodiac sign can bring forward to humanity at large.
Although Neptune is not typically referred to as the “cultural curator”, I’ve noticed through years of study and pattern recognition that Neptune tends to play a major role in what’s happening with fashion, media, music, food, and trends. Even Alexander McQueen’s 2006 Spring/Summer collection was aptly titled “Neptune” with sheer, sparkling, and skin-revealing elements. Mind you Neptune was in Aquarius during this time (1998-2011) when the collection came out, highlighting our ability as a society to think outside of the box, set new trends, and relish in individualism. The collection broke many rules, and allowed us to embrace eccentricism on and off the runway. A perfect example of Neptune’s influence over society at large.
Neptune’s Dance in Pisces (2011-2025)
But we’ve had Neptune in Pisces since 2011, highlighting our obsession with nostalgia, vintage clothing, and the past. With another dip back into Pisces later this year, we’re not quite done with that cycle — which can benefit us deeply, especially with a climate crisis, it’s not such a bad thing that people are starting to thrift, source vintage, and think about their own heirloom pieces that they would want to pass down. However, Pisces has a habit of addiction and indulgence, making even the seemingly innocuous trends of shopping at the thrift store turn into overconsumption-core. Virtue signaling on social media with influencers boasting about their vintage Prada and Jean Paul Gaultier finds, all to click through to their pages and see that this “once-in-a-lifetime” find is actually a weekly occurrence for them… begging the question: doesn’t this incessant nature of purchasing defeat the purpose of “conscious shopping”?
We have to be willing to look at the dark side of every coin that we carry. We as a society can start to align and break free from the shadowy nature of Neptune’s veil if we stay focused on what each dip into a new sign may bring. So what’s in store for us as Neptune enters Aries this year (2025) until 2039?
Neptune in Aries (2025-2039): What Lays Ahead
Fashion, art, media… Add politics, beauty, healthcare. Neptune is often coined the higher octave of Venus in Astrology, bringing us the ability to tap into many aspects of life that bring forward themes of beauty, wealth, and desire, but if left unchecked can turn into obsession, greed, and lust. What do people do when they allow themselves to chase their dreams without grounding back into reality? Without checking in with their neighbors? Without giving back to the communities that they are building? These are important questions to ask ourselves, and even more important to ask of the people in power.
A rather notable theme is that we’ve had the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto) in feminine signs (Earth and Water) since 2018 when Uranus entered Taurus, Neptune was in Pisces, and Pluto had been in Capricorn all at once. If we think about this collectively, the awareness of “matriarchal societies” started to pop up. Women wanted to enter their “Divine Feminine era”. Trad wives started to become more prevalent and popular than ever before. There was a dip back into conservatism world-wide with countries like The United States, Germany, France, Australia, The U.K., and many more dipping their toes back into a more traditional political sphere, prioritizing national preservation. So what can we expect when all of the outer planets are now in masculine signs from 2025 and beyond?
Uranus in Gemini starting July 7, 2025
Neptune in Aries starting March 30, 2025
Pluto has been in Aquarius since December 2024
I’ve been predicting that Neptune in Aries would bring back rebellion. We’re already seeing a resurgence of “recession era” fashion and music. Lady Gaga releasing Abracadabra, highly reminiscent of her Born This Way era. Her “spooky pop” got us through the early 2010’s market crash, and we’ve been seeing the rustlings of this with major celebrities like Beyonce (who is notably very private and hard to capture in uncontrolled spaces in the public eye) signing on for brand deals with Verizon and taking interviews post-awards.
In more everyday experiences, we can see this from online trends like “clean girl aesthetic”, women wanting nothing more than to be a wife, mother, or pilates princess, supported by the finances of a male partner, and even the embrace of natural hair. With rising salon costs and economic concerns rustling, people are opting for natural looks, and “at home” fixes to their beauty essentials. Even I’ve recently stopped going to the nail salon after a few too many times checking out with the same nails and noticing my nail tech had tacked on *another* $20 price increase from last month. I’m caught looking down at my un-manicured fingers and coincidentally started feeling like I wanted to “heal my nail beds”… just in time for the market to crash! Is there ever truly a coincidence between our intuitive choices and the stars? I think not.

I’ve written out a list of predictions for art, media, music, politics, beauty trends, and society at large. Read on below for my “hot take” on Neptune in Aries turning up the heat for us all!
POLITICS & SOCIETY
The Rise of Spiritual Warfare & Spiritual Leaders – Expect influential figures who blend politics with spirituality, activism, or cult-like movements to appear and take center stage. Charismatic and/or aggressive, they’ll ignite movements rather than just stirring them.
