Hello friends, new and old. We’re back with this week’s edition of Star-Crossed after a few days of sulking, sitting with confusion and feeling really stuck. Candidly, I have been going through an intense upheaval in my personal life. I finally started to set boundaries with friends and family that I felt misaligned with - learning more about how when you are raised with certain patterns, how difficult and consuming those can be to break in your adulthood. I am newly 30, and although I’ve talked about protection years here with you all, I didn’t think my 7th house year was going to be looking at long-term relationships and commitments in that way, like the way where you have to clear it all out and realize how messy it all is before you can start to call in the relationships that truly resonate with you.
Navigating the Current Times
I’ve been comparing it to wound care to my close girlfriends, sitting down with one of my best friends yesterday and saying “I can’t start healing if there’s still foreign objects lodged into this wound. I need to painfully pick it all out, cleanse the wound, and give it some time to heal before it stops hurting. But I trust that it will stop hurting someday”. I lived a lot of my life thinking that relationships were meant to be painful, and “hard work”, and challenging - okaying unreciprocated behavior from people that I considered the closest to me.
I would be understanding when friends would cancel, or be dismissive, or unkind, trying to empathize with them and completely ignoring how hurt I felt in the process. The unfortunate reality of being a deeply feeling and compassionate person is that you think everyone else is walking around with the same thoughts racing through their mind, wondering if the stranger who cut you in line for coffee was rushing on their way to see a dying parent in the hospital, so you don’t say anything. Or looking at how the person you slept with over the weekend hadn’t called and blaming it on a busy work week. Or justifying why your own father hadn’t called you in six months and remembering “that the phone works both ways” and that he “doesn’t like to be on the phone”. It’s all ridiculous — but before you recognize it, you blame your own self-abusive behavior of okaying it all on having a “big heart” and not poorly-established boundaries or a lack of self-respect.
So under this week’s Taurus Full Moon (11/15/24) I want you to get a little more “bull headed”. Behave like a Taurus would in the following ways:
Stay stubborn… with your standards.
Commit…to yourself first.
Devote yourself in loyalty… to the future you deserve.
Realize that you deserve luxury treatment… like way more than just consistency, call backs, and effort from others. Those are the bare minimum.
Create stability in your life… and realize that game playing and constantly questioning how other people feel about you is a (terrible) dupe for real passion.
What’s the Meaning of this Taurus Full Moon?
In general, Full Moons are typically looked at as a time of illumination, clarity, and heightened energy that allow us to clear out whatever or whoever is no longer aligned with our journey - especially in the theme of the sign that the full moon falls under. In this week’s case, it is Taurus. Venus-ruled, earthly, hard-headed, high-standards, and all about what’s rooted in reality (or what they can receive). So the theme of this week is seeing where you can raise your standards, based on what and who you are surrounding yourself with. This might be your job, how you’re handling your finances, the way that you present yourself physically, how you take care of your body, the relationships you tend to, and how you’re currently relating to yourself.
This is a great time for you to start planning for the type of future you want and investing in it through your time, money, and energy. These valuable resources have a habit of ebbing and flowing as life moves, giving us opportunities to level-up, spiral down, or stagnate in no discernible direction. It’s important for you to take a long, hard look at where you are now in comparison to where you were back on the Taurus New Moon we had earlier this year on May 7th. What was going on during that time? What were you calling in? Have you moved closer to that place, further away, or no movement at all?
Personally, I think this is a great Full Moon to take inventory and start to shift your daily actions and attachments into the direction of the life that you want. Although this is not a New Moon (known typically as a great time to manifest), this Full Moon is happening in an earth sign, and the natural ruler of the second house of finances, money, and attachments. Aligning your words and your actions during this time is vital. So ask yourself:
What does my daily life look like? Who am I communicating with regularly? What am I spending my time on?
Follow-up: do these things and people align with the life that I desire?
Is there anyone or anything I need to set stronger boundaries with in my life?
Follow-up: where are the “leaks” with my time, money, and energy?
How this Full Moon is Affecting YOU Based on Your Rising Sign
Let’s get into the juiciest part of this Full Moon: how it will affect you directly. Remember to read primarily for your rising sign, secondarily for sun and moon.
It’s important to note: Uranus (the planet of rebellion and sudden change) is currently in Taurus, Pluto is in Capricorn and Venus (the planet the moon will be answering to) is in Capricorn as well. It’s a very earthy, tangible, and transformative time as we still sift through Scorpio’s murky waters. Free readings for paid subscribers can be found at the bottom!
